NCS introduces e-correction for security of facilities across Nigeria

The Nigeria Correctional Service said it has introduced e-correction to ensure security and safety in all the correctional centres across Nigeria.

Not only that, the Service has declared all it's facilities across the country as red zones to those with no business around them stressing that, all hands are on deck to continue to ensure the security of the centers.

Galaxy tv reports that the Assistant Controller of Correction and the Public Relations Officer of the Service, Umar Abubakar, while speaking with Journalists in Abuja, said the era of using analog methods in keeping the correctional centres safe had long gone.

According to him, with the introduction of the technology, activities in all the high profiles facilities are being monitored at the headquarters of the service in Abuja, including the movement of the inmates.
He added that there are also buffer zones at some of the facilities in areas that are yet to experience urbanization noting that, people that have no business are not allowed to move closer to the facilities.

Abubakar, who lauded the leadership qualities of the Controller General of the Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa adding that, there has been no in towards incident since his assumption of office.
He however appealed to Nigerians against stigmatization of inmates that have completed there terms noting that, six of them are currently undergoing their Ph.D. while one has successfully completed his book to be launched very soon
