Osinbajo Harps on Efficient Service Delivery through Public Service

The civil service has been described as the engine room of any government in achieving optimum service delivery through efficiency in public service.

These were the words of the vice president of Nigeria Professor Yemi Osinbajo during his commissioning of the new state-of-the-art central secretariat complex in Asaba built by the Delta state governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

The secretariat named after the Asagba of Asagba and Nigeria’s oldest professor Obi professor Chike Edozien has been described as the legacy project of the Delta state governor.

Speaking after cutting the tape to commission the secretariat and the Independent Power Plant in Asaba, Professor Osinbajo harps on the need for efficient service delivery through a highly responsive civil service.

On his part, the host and Delta state governor Ifeanyi Okowa said the state government will be saving funds, as the secretariat will also lead to efficiency and greater productivity.

The governors of Edo and Bayelsa states were in attendance at the commissioning as well as traditional rulers, and members of the national and state assembly from the state.
