CG Correctional Service restates commitment to welfare of Personnel

The Controller General, Nigeria Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa, has declared the readiness of the service to take good care of it's workforce, either serving or retired.

He gave the assurance in Abuja while presenting cheques to 275 officers, who sustained various degree of Injury in the line of duty for their medical bills.

Galaxy tv News reports that at the event, 483 retirees also received their retirement benefits, which runs into millions of naira.

Nababa, who was represented by Assistant Controller General, Slevester Ndidi appreciated the insurance brokers, underwriters and contributors for their continuous sacrifice and understanding adding that such gesture would be sustained.
In her welcome remarks, the Secretary Correctional Welfare Insurance Scheme, Hanatu Zubairu, stated that the scheme has come to stay, as a dependable line of welfare support to all members and their families at critical times.
She maintained that the scheme has continued to evolve remarkably, owing to the unwavering commitment to integrity, hard work and forthrightness, encouraged by the charismatic leadership, clear vision and support of successive Controller General of Corrections.

The beneficiaries expressed their joy and gladness for the gesture while encouraging their colleagues to remain committed to the service.
